Middletown Police Awarded $45K Justice Assistance Grant (05/05/2013)

The Middletown Police Department was awarded a Justice Assistance Grant of $45,385 for police technology from the federal Office of Policy and Management. Each town in the state was allotted a specific sum of money for technological equipment. With this grant the department is approved to purchase new computers, Tasers, filters for MSA gas masks, a camera with accoutrements, a handheld thermal imager, various crime scene/evidence collection lights, forensic kits and simunition weapons conversion kits and ammunition.

Grants Will Allow Cameron Police Department to Buy Equipment (05/13/2013)

Cameron Police Chief Randy Dixon is awaiting approval of a $59,520 Justice Assistance grant that would allow him to purchase equipment to provide police safety and upgrade the Cameron Police Department. Cameron was third on a list of seven departments to qualify for grants totaling $329,228 from the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office. Dixon said it is awaiting approval from the Governor’s Office.
